The main control room has a bright, spacious and airy feel. The room features full-range, active monitoring by ATC, as well as an ATC nearfields. A full 5.1 surround system is available. The Apple MacPro with twin screens features the Nuendo 4 media production system. RME hardware allows 26 channels in and out of the computer. Plug-ins include the Waves Platinum range, Antares Auto-tune and the amazing Universal Audio range of reverbs (including EMT 140 plate) and vintage compressors and EQ. We also have Altiverb, which provides accurate reproduction of any acoustic space, from the interior of a small car to Notre Dame Cathedral, in stereo and surround. Mic preamps include 4 channels of Focusrite ISA, a further 8 channels of Focusrite Class A, and a 2 channel dbx 386 valve preamp and 4 channels of RME, all linked digitally to the computer. Studio and Control room monitoring and talkback are handled by an Audient Centro. We can provide up to eight independent stereo foldback mixes to musicians. We have a wide selection of the best Virtual synths and samplers, including the TruePiano, HAlion 3 Atmosphere, Hypersonic 2, the EastWest Platinum Orchestral library, Stylus and BFD. There are two recording rooms, the Cotswold Stone Room and a smaller, damped room. There is good visual contact between rooms and daylight in each. The studio has an Ethernet network, allowing offline writing, editing other work away from the main studio.
