As a company working in the media sector, we receive many requests from students and others for work experience at the studio. Unfortunately we are NOT able to offer traditional work experience placements, the demand is simply far too high. We sometimes receive 2 or 3 requests a week, each wanting several days in the studio. Please be aware that jobs in recording studios are extremely rare and getting rarer as studios close down. There are some careers to be had in audio for video, computer games, live sound and other related industries. However selection for ALL such jobs is highly competitive. We consider that there is an element of dishonesty inherent in many of the 'Studio Engineering' Courses running in many Colleges and Universities, as well as commercially run courses. By all means undertake such a course if you are interested in recording, but do not expect it to be easy to find a job in the industry.
